Celiac Disease

Our son Joshua was diagnosed with Celiac Disease when he was just 18 months old. We’ve been gluten-free ever since. I plan to update this page to include more Celiac information, but my time is limited these days. For now, if anyone has ANY questions regarding Celiac Disease, symptoms, diagnosis, gluten-free living, etc. please leave a comment here. I will respond asap.

    Hi Melissa,

I regularly visit your blog from Large Families on BBC (Liz_E). Anyway I am sure your know this but I was at Trader Joes and pleasantly surprised at all the Gluten Free, affordable products they have. Not sure where you are or if there is one near but thought it might be helpful.

    Best wishes this joyous holiday,

    Liz

Is this the same child that has delayed myelination? My daughter has delayed myelination and is being tested for celiacs. Did thy test your other children too?? Thank you!

Joshua, my 10 year old, has Celiac Disease. He was diagnosed at 18 months and has done amazingly well on a GF diet. Asher, my 4 year old, had delayed myelination when he was a baby. We were supposed to repeat the MRI when he was 2-3, but he was doing so well at that point that it wasn’t necessary. I honestly don’t have a lot of info on delayed myelination, but I do have lots of info on Celiac. Let me know if I can help! :)
